Ron Rusticus, working in the commercial back office at FGD Lease, explains how CarCollect helps organize their remarketing process more efficiently and professionally.
FGD Lease was founded in 2017 and has grown significantly in a short period of time. “We started with four employees back then. Today we have thirteen people on the payroll and our lease portfolio is growing nicely as well,” says Ron.
The leasing company mainly focuses on the northern part of the Netherlands. “Our focus is mainly on Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. There we really try to create synergy between our customers and the dealers in the region.”
From manual to a structured remarketing process Before working with CarCollect, FGD Lease handled the remarketing process largely manually. “Last year we were still working with separate Excel files and a lot of email contact with traders,” Ron explains. “That creates close contact with your partners, but it is also quite time consuming.”
The remarketing process itself starts when vehicles are returned by the driver. “The cars are first taken in at a third-party location. There they are cleaned and then inspected by an independent party. After that, our inspection partner AVN prepares a report and we proceed to auction the cars.”
