Lorenzo Cornelissen, Managing Director, and Vincent, Sales Manager at De Lim, explain how CarCollect brought transparency, speed and better pricing to their growing dealership.

De Lim is a third-generation family business, founded in 1957, and official Mercedes and Opel dealer with locations in Mol and Balen in the Belgian Kempen. With increasing sales volumes in recent years, the need for more overview and transparency became urgent. CarCollect came at exactly the right time.

Immediate bids and faster follow-up
In the first two weeks, we already collected a solid number of cars,” Lorenzo explains. “What stood out immediately was that we received bids as soon as the vehicles were online. That allowed us to move quickly towards our own customers.

The larger network of specialised buyers proved to be a major advantage. “The pond is much bigger now,” Vincent says. “There are buyers specialised in light commercial vehicles, larger vans and even electric cars, markets we didn’t always have direct access to before.

More critical valuations, better results
Although appraisals now take slightly more time, Vincent sees this as a strength. “I look more critically at trade-ins and can set better valuations. That improves the cooperation between trader and dealership and ultimately leads to stronger deals.”

Smart automation saves time
One of the biggest impressions was the automated photo processing. Uploading multiple images at once and having them automatically categorised saves significant time and reduces manual work.
