Kristof De Backer, Managing Director of MHC Mobility Belgium and Luxembourg, explains how CarCollect has helped streamline and optimise their remarketing process.

MHC Mobility Belgium originated from Mobilease, a company Kristof founded around ten years ago. “We’ve been working with CarCollect for several years now, and to everyone’s satisfaction,” he says. “Before that, we worked rather randomly with different auction platforms. That took a lot of time. Vehicles had to be uploaded to multiple platforms, followed by extensive analysis afterwards to compare results.”

According to Kristof, this approach did not always deliver the best outcome. “We noticed that we didn’t consistently get the best bids for our vehicles. That’s when we started looking for one platform that could combine multiple auction houses and attract more bidders.

One central platform
The collaboration with CarCollect quickly proved to be efficient. “From the start, it went very smoothly. We could pass on our vehicles and within 24 hours everything was live on the platform. Communication was open, transparent, and fast.

Today, MHC Mobility Belgium works with an automated connection between their own system and CarCollect. “That integration has brought us significant time optimisation. Uploading vehicles is easy, and thanks to the increased number of bidders, we achieve better prices for our remarketing vehicles.”

A clear and efficient process
Kristof also explains how the process works in practice. “End-of-contract vehicles are inspected by DriveX, an external partner responsible for registering all damages. Once the inspection report and photos are ready, everything is automatically transferred to the CarCollect platform.”

From there, the MHC team selects which vehicles and images go live in the auction. “We run our auctions and close them on Thursdays. That allows us to quickly decide which vehicle is sold to which buyer. The process is clear, efficient, and gives us full control.”
